Okay,
My uncle has got it in his head that he wants to do Civil War reinactment. The thing is he would like to portray a realitive of ours who supposedly served in the California 100, at Gettysburg. My task is to find out who this person was if they ever existed. Any ideas as to where I might be able to find records pertaineing to that particular regiment?
Question for the history buffs? (if we have any)

I would suspect that you would probably want to try to do a little family Genealogy. I'll tell you this, it isn't always easy and it can be expensive. If your relative was a significant part of the war, I'd say then to go out and find what they did and look on the Internet under some history sites to find them.
