Hey I need some help with the DVD player on my comp.
It used to work until today when I tried it, I haven't used it for some time now. When I checked help file it said No Decoder found.Did I erase something I shouldn't have? Can I download a decoder from somewhere? My laptop has the hardware for it but I don't want to buy new software.

Hmmm, don't really know what to tell you if you lost your software codex. You can try updating to Windows Media Player 9, but I don't know if that will do any good. If you have your backup CD's you can try to restore it from that, but if you don't have anything whatsoever we'll see what I can find for some free drivers when I get home.
