Top 10 Favorite Movies

Post by Venus de Tahoe »

Since the Top 10 Cd's was pretty interesting, I'd thought I'd ask everyone, what are your top 10 favorite movies?

So I was going to say "anyone who puts Biodome on their list doesn't deserve to call themself a movie buff," but then you put the Godfather on your list, so you redeem yourself. Kinda. Putting Biodome on the same list as the Godfather is like movie sacrilege.

People usually have a harder time identifying ten favorite movies than ten favorite cd's, so I wasn't going to post this topic, but since you did, I'll give it a go.

Fvolfrine's Top Ten Favorie Movies (In Order):
10 Leon: The Professional
9 American Beauty
8 Ronin
7 X-Men
6 Forrest Gump
5 Superman: The Movie
4 Moulin Rouge!
3 X2: X-Men United
2 Highlander
1 The Princess Bride

Honorable Mentions (movies that I love but wouldn't put on a Top 10 List):
Blazing Saddles
Airplane!
Super Troopers
The Godfather I and II
Almost Famous
Monty Python & The Holy Grail
28 Days Later
The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy
Saving Private Ryan
Kill Bill (Vol. 1 & Vol. 2)
Rocky I, II, and III
American History X
Armageddon
The Count Of Monte Cristo
The Lion King
Army Of Darkness (YES!!!)

I don't agree with anybody on this forum. That's the point. I like to push the issue, or push people, make them think outside the box.

And you know it's a sign of the impending Apolcalypse when 85 customers on amazon.com gave Biodome an average rating of 4/5 stars.

Grab your guns, because the four horsemen are nigh.

I really don't care what people think of my selection of movies. Nothing will change my opinion not even 85% of amazon.com and so that was a waste of time looking that up. I like the movie, I am not saying that the actors are geniuses, I just think it is funny. Lets just leave it at that

Hmm, top 10 is pretty hard to come up with, so...using what I own, my top 11 in alphabetical order would be:

1. Army of Darkness
2. Braveheart
3. Ever After
4. The Fifth Element
5. Highlander
6. Lord of the Rings Trilogy
7. Pirates of the Caribbean
8. Predator
9. Resident Evil (1 & 2)
10. Spider-Man (1 & 2)
11. X-Men (1 & 2)

Now top 10 overall....that's too much decision processing. It was hard enough to get down to just those 11. :p

Well, if you didn't get the memo, I'll send it to you again. Or I'll just post it here, so I know everyone will have the opportunity to see it.

"The point of this forum is to state your opinion on what your favorite movies are. Specifically, your favorite ten movies, in whatever order you wish to, consisting of whatever movies you want to include. In fact, if you want to put "Gigli" on your list, that's your prerogative; this is the chance for you to express your opinions without anyone criticizing, critiquing, or in any way harassing you about the movies you select. Unless you put "Biodome" or "In The Army Now" on your list. Or if you put your favorite 27 movies instead of your favorite 10. Then you are just asking to get pooped on."

So there, now that you have that memo, you'll clearly see that you were in violation of section 28.16.03. So I just HAD to poop on your list.

Just be glad I didn't poop on you.

I'm not that fond of Biodome either.

But seriously, "In the army now" was one of the weasels best works. It's almost up there with "Son in Law" or "Encino man"

No Matt you Sh*t in my cereal. But yeah thanks for not "pooping" on me because then I would have to drop a brick on your head. I wasn't asking for my list to be pooped on. I hate standing up for what I believe in and that's why I stay away from politics and religion topics. You may be different. You may love to argue/debate. Not me, so no I was not asking and secondly I happen to like movies and couldn't cut it down to ten. But if I were to cut it down, Biodome would still be in the top ten and last I checked you don't run this website and can't tell me I violated Sh*t. I'll only listen to Shawn considering it IS HIS SITE.

Well due to Biodome's increasing number of sales, I am not the only one who likes it but it wouldn't matter anyway, it isn't my favorite, favorite movie but I laugh when I watch it. In fact, most of my friends that live here, own it.

In the army now is pretty funny as well same with Son in Law.

Seriously, after having read that last post, all I can say is get a hold of this book and study it like the Bible, cause damn, even Jesus didn't understand what you just said.

But on a serious note, you should really start standing up for yourself and your beliefs. Heck, you just did it to an extent in that last post. If you don't stand up for yourself, who will? And if you don't stand up for what you believe in, people, not me, but people will take advantage of that and of you. It's a road you don't want to walk down.

I'm not asking you to argue or debate. Hell, I'm not asking you to do anything other than humor my attempts at ass-holiness. But you HAVE to stand up for what you believe in. You can avoid conflict your entire life, but it will always find you. And when it does, stand up, look it in the face, and say "F*** yeah Biodome is a good movie. F*** you a**hole! It's my list, and you can eat my s***!" Or something like that.

I don't want to sound too preachy or patronizing. In fact, I just want to help. So take it from a "friend," stand up for yourself and stick it to "the man."

And then I'll eat your poop stained cereal.

OK, i think everyone just needs to sit back, smoke a bowl, and let life cruise blissfully. everything falls in to place much better that way.

So, just...chill.
