Best Songs Of The 90's

Post by Fvolfrine »

Since I have so many CD's and spend so much time on the road, I think that I am going to make a CD of my favorite music from the 90's. In doing so, I want to make a large list of all of the best songs from that great decade, and then narrow the list down to one CD's worth of music (maybe two CD's, depending on how many songs we come up with). So I'll start the list, and please add any songs that you would want on a "Best Of The 90's CD.

For this list, I'll go with rock and pop stuff. Maybe for future "Best Of" cd's I'll include country, or rap, or whatever else, but this list will be tailored for rock and pop. Pop like Sarah McLachlan and Jewel, not Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson. And only one song per artist, so if there is an artist on here that you think has a better song than the one I put, that's cool, but not ten other songs by the same artist.

Oasis - Wonderwall
Matchbox 20 - Push
Counting Crows - Mr. Jones
Weezer - Buddy Holly
Third Eye Blind - Jumper
The Wallflowers - One Headligh
Toad The Wet Sprocket - All I Want
Gin Blossoms - Found Out About You
Goo Goo Dolls - Name
Soundgarden - Fell On Black Days
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Green Day - When I Come Around
Sister Hazel - All For You
Tonic - If You Could Only See
Tool - Sober
Alice In Chains - Man In The Box
Hootie & The Blowfish - Let Her Cry
The Rembrandts - I'll Be There For You (Friends Cheesiness)
Sheryl Crow - Strong Enough
Alanis Morissette - Ironic
Jewel - Who Will Save Your Soul
Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
The Verve Pipe - The Freshmen
The Verve - The Drugs Don't Work
Sarah McLachlan - Angel
Temple Of The Dog - Hunger Strike
Pearl Jam - Even Flow
Danzig - Mother
Metallica - Enter Sandman
AC/DC - Thunderstruck
Days Of The New - Touch, Peel And Stand
Creed - One
Radiohead - Karma Police
Blur - Song #2
Bush - Machinehead
Fuel - Shimmer
Godsmack - Voodoo
Limp Bizkit - Re-Arranged

I'll add more songs as I think of them, but that list is a pretty good start. So, what other songs would you add to my list?
stand tall, stand proud
every beginning is breaking it's promise
i'm having trouble just finding some soul in this town
